I teach a high school broadcast journalism class at Dalian American International School. We are doing a set project early 2013 - see unit plan

However, we would like to start a once a week or even once a fortnightly time to Skype interaction between schools. My students are 15 - 17 years old; seniors (graduating next June) and Juniors - another year to go. They are from Korea, Trinidad - West Indies, The USA and China. We could have an open form and have students learn about one another then work on projects.

I also will be having an after school 4 - 4:30 PM (2:30 - 4 your time I think) group of Chinese students - speaking English, though not so well, that I wish to do a project called 'foreign correspondent'  with. As they board at our school they are also available duing their evening study time between 7 - 9 PM China time.

  Our only international experience within the classroom was with Canyon H.S. School in Bhopal during which time we had some spotty moments but overall it went well though after losing contact we had to wait to get back on but we were during a whole, close to hour, class with them. These interviews will be about three minutes.
